Former Dollar Tree now home to Westfield Makerspace

The defunct Dollar Tree building across from the McDonald’s in downtown Westfield is now home to Westfield Makerspace, a creative hub offering vendor markets, workshops, events, and support for local entrepreneurs.

The sale of 93 East Main Street was first announced on December 12, 2025 by real estate agent Nicholas Holt. Erie-based Westminster Place Partnership sold the building to Mac Kay Holdings, LLC for $206,000, according to a recent article in the Observer.

The Makerspace will provide hands-on tool zones for woodworking, textiles, stained glass, electronics, and 3D printing, according to its Facebook page. It will also sponsor programming including camps for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and STEAM (STEM plus arts), senior-friendly workshops, and intergenerational activities.

Makerspace will also back “small retail pods for artisans and entrepreneurs, along with incubation services to help local businesses grow into permanent storefronts,” according to Holt’s post.

The company’s website features a community survey, vendor and teacher registration forms, and a solicitation for support letters. After hosting Winter and Valentine’s Day fairs, the next event at Westfield Makerspace is the 2026 Easter Vendor Market on March 14-15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
